Everyday Eats: Thursday, October 30th, 2014

Today I feasted.

Mom, Meemaw, and I had plans to go shopping in Nashville – and on the way, we were going to stop in Springfield to go to Torino’s.  They are a small, local business that used to have a steakhouse located nearby called “Charlie’s Steakhouse.”  They had the best steaks known to man.  In fact, that’s where CB and I went with our family to celebrate our marriage!  Unfortunately, it burned down shortly after that :(  Rather than reopen the steakhouse, the owners and cooks created a Greek/Italian restaurant about 30 minutes down the road.  However, buried in their menu is the “Classic Charlies” selection, with the very same steaks on it that made them so popular.

I absolutely love going there.  I don’t think you can get a better steak anywhere!

Knowing that I was going to gorge on tender, succulent, perfectly flavored cow… I ate lightly the rest of the day.

Breakfast

8oz Carbmaster milk, 1 scoop chocolate protein powder, 1 shot of Torani sugarfree s’mores syrup. Delicious protein shake while Shadow watches skeptically.

Dinner

I ate half of "The Good Kabob" - filet mignon cooked with onions, tomatoes, and bell pepper. Buttery broccoli on the side.

Today was a fairly low calorie day with good macros – I met my protein goal and stayed below my carb goal.  That’s a win!

Although, spoiler alert, I’ve already eaten a second Happy Almond Bomb since I pulled these stats.  So yeah, add that in.  And don’t worry – I’m sharing that recipe tomorrow!  It’s soooooo good!!

Good night, everyone! :)

I love comments, and read every last one. Talk to me!
